If you have a permanent life insurance product, you may be in luck.

Viaticals get a lot of bad press, but in rare circumstances, they can be worth doing. Basically, a company will purchase your permanent life insurance policy for less than it's worth. They measure the risk associated, and they make a profit when the policy pays.

Yes, this sounds morbid, but in certain cases, everyone wins. You don't necessarily lose your living standard (which most who become ill feel guilty about anyway), and hopefully a good portion of hospital bills that health insurance didn't cover will be taken care of.

If this is an option for you, be VERY careful, and get references of past clients. There are unfortunately unscrupulous viatical brokers out there.

The first thing is prayer. I will tell you that losing your home and/or cars would be of secondary concern to losing your wife. Material things can be replaced. Your situation may require the need to consider bankruptcy or if not that serious may need to simply revamp your budget to reconsider your bills and come up with a repayment plan to avoid bankruptcy. First step... consider credit counseling with a legitimate agency like CCCS. Check out the link below for the agency that governs counseling agencies. The "take the first step" will put you in touch with an agency near you. I can totally relate to the financial stress you're under. Be blessed with what you have rather than worry about what you'll lose.

If you have a lot of debt you could consider a debt settlement company. Be careful, many are scams. But there is one that actually offers protection along the way from property liens, and other things that most settment companies don't warn you about. This place is called Debt Relief Concepts. They are the only one I have found that tells the truth about the risks and offers sound and accurate advise on avoiding the possible negative effects. www.debtreliefconcepts.com. Mention promotion code 4500RC and they will give you a FREE confidential, discrete and understanding consultation.

My thougths and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Check that place out, I'm sure they can help you!!!

Maybe try a consolidation loan.
This would lower your payments.
(Hope everything gets better for you and your wife)
