I know everyone's mad at the foreign policy of the united states and how they deal with other countries, but i really need HELP!! I'm doing a debate a couple days from now and I need to understand the key points of foreign policy (what is it? -how america deals with foreign countries- and how they deal with htose countries) specifically examples like the U.S. helping other countries. I've searched online but i cant find ANYTHING!!! i hope you can help me out.

I need three strong points of why America has a great foreign policy. please answer with some points i could use.

e.g.: they help other countries get back on their feet after wars (i need evidence for this one!)
by the way, I DONT think that the foriegn policy is good so dont write me a post about how bad it is- but i have to do the PRO side so some help with that would be great.

America's foreign policy is good because, with a few unpleasant exceptions, our economic policy makes other countries richer. This, of course, is contrary to the complaints about our nation you often hear. Think about it, though. Most of our dollars go overseas. Nothing we wear, listen to, play with or send emails on are made in this country. None of it. Luckily, our foreign policy is all about finding cheaper sources. Oil. Electronics. Oil. Textiles. Oil. Produce. (Yes: Produce.) Oil. Furniture. Cookware. Dog bowls. Oil. Everything. What does the factory in your town produce? I never in my life lived in a town with a factory. If I had, I'd probably have something different to say about America's foreign policy.
Perhaps you can work this point into your debate. Good luck!
Oh--look up the Marshall Plan for an example of America helping other countries during hard times. Maybe you can find some more current examples of America's altruism. Remember, a country, even the most powerful nation-state in the history of all humanity, is nothing but the sum of it's citizens. Most of the neighbors I've had over the years have been very generous. America must be too!

The will first have nice diplomatic talks a foreign country, then if the US doesn't get what it wants it will either bribe the foreign country with US foreign aid, if that doesn't work they'll place sanctions on that country & if that doesn't work they'll invade that country to change the regime to something that will do what the US wants.

In some ways we have the best foriegn policy. We conduct more trade than any other nation in the world by a large margin. In other ways, our foriegn policy is not so good.

All of the support we got for the Iraqi war we paid for. When that wasn't enough we threatened to bomb the countries who opposed us. A bomb if you don't support us and billions if you do. Which would you pick?

Bush didn't know where any of these foreign countries were before he was appointed president.(He was not elected.)

oh i am so sorry for you to be on this side of the debate because you got your work cut out for you...

1. america tries to manipulate the world to its advantage
2. america tries to preserve its future by such things
3. america tries to give the impression it has a humanitarian side by giving to the needy countries

I realize this is not worded good but i don't think usa has a good policy so you can change the wording to make it look good
