Required attendance for Boulder Co High School students advoctating sex and drug use?

Uhm, if my kids were forced to sit though this disgusting lecture, the members of the faculty and school board had better lock their doors at night!

I saw this report on the news. I listened to the speech those idiots made. Kids are so impressionable that by having people stand in front of them like that and tell them to experiment with sex is just ridiculous. The superintendent, principle, and whoever else was involved in booking this lecture should be fired. This was just too big of a lack of judgment on their part. Every parent of the students who had to sit through the speech needs to get a letter of apology. I just cannot believe that a school could allow something like this to happen. The idiots who preached about sex gave high school students another reason to be promiscuous. I'm as mad as you are.

The guy that said "Because your going to do them anyway!" made a good point.

You can't only teach abstinence and not doing drugs because there will ALWAYS be students that do anyway. You have to taylor the curriculum to them, because the kids that aren't having sex/doing drugs aren't the ones in danger.

And FYI, it was a *High School*, and I assure you that nothing that lecture said could be seen as a shock to any student who had been in the public school system for that long.

*But I agree that they should have asked parents for permission first*
