I bought a NetGear Router and Its saying that Iam connected to the Internet..but before you get to go line you have to register your Router ..well its saying " Please Check the Connections to the Internet WAn Port and Cable?DSL Modem" I dont know anything about computers ..what does this mean and how do I fix it?

They should have a tech support number to call. If they don't return the unit and purchase a Lynksys router.Lynksys provides 24/7 support for free.
You need to set your personnal internet identification within the router.

connect the WAN port(the single port on the back that is kinda seperate from the rest )to your modem cable or DSL.

It means you have to call customer service or michael ho-dac
