If i did indeed ovulate late and had intercourse when i figured i was "safe", could i still get pregnant?

i usually have 31 day cycles, sometimes 32. last month my cycle was 35 days which for me was a bit unusual. nevertheless, this month i was careful until day 26 and 28..but in between that timeframe i noticed alot of fertile mucous...not semen but fertile mucous. i know alot about my body and cycles but i have never heard of someone getting prego at the end of their cycle. so my question is, what are the odds and how soon could i test?
also: on the 18th day of my cycle we only used withdrawal method...could that have been the conception time if there was NO FERTILE mucous present?

I've been thru a ton of fertility treatments and could tell you everything you want to know. Typically you are most fertile 2 days before and 2 days after you ovulate. You can ovulate at different times..it's not always 100% on que. So...YES....big chance of getting PG mucous or not.

Yes it is possible. I'd say the chance was 1 in 31 or 32 or this month/cycle 1 in 35.

Going with the longer length of 35 days, the last day you would have been fertile is day 19, one day after ovulation. The withdrawl method is not very safe because there is sperm that comes out before the man ejaculates. I'm guessing you wont be pregnant, but if you miss your period take a test.

yes. you can get pregnant any time. couldn't tell you the odds though.

i'd wait a least another cycle to test if you're going to use a home kit.

Yes it could have been. Try using more natural family planning and if you aren't ready to have a kid then don't have sex. If you are just waiting until you are stable to have kids, consider IUD.
