I mean if you live a good and live and die, and you go to hell, you will have to suffer the agony of hell for all eternity (depending on how you view hell). Wouldent rather have not existed in the first place? But then again, if u dont exist, you simply dont exist, that sounds like a scary thought as well, i mean to simply not exsist means that you wouldent have the pleasures of, well living. Hell you wouldent then even have been able to think about this. So what would u pick, saying u had a choice?
Please no atheist, i mean an atheist can answer this but dont spout the whole but what if hell doesent exsist crap (maybe it doesent), but for this question, assume it does and assume there is a god and assume hell is as bad as it sounds.
This is more of a thought question and i dont really want any overly religious answers either, i just want a non-bias, personal opinion. But then again, it probably will be extremely bias, depending on your beliefs. But hey, try not to be ;)

The Pink Pixie of Mars states that I will go to the centre of the Universe on my death. Not hell.

Hi. Neither.First of all if you live a good life you certainly will NOT go to Hell. You would have to offend God by doing terrible things before that happens. Now the popular consensus is that Hell is a place of unimaginable torment and agony where the body and soul are consumed by eternal fire. This is how it has been explained in religious circles to justify its horror But we just don't know.To day it is thought of being a place of darkness and loneliness without being with God (i may be wrong)So i guess it's a bit like not existing in one way but in Hell you know you are still alive for all eternity.I'd rather be good and go to Heaven!

I hope i wasn't biased Tim.

You are right at saying God exists. I believe God exists. I will not get into details of theology since you petitioned that.
I Exist because I have a consience. In my councience I can open myself to the presence of God. God is love. Salvation is union with God in God's love, although my human love can be limited.
Sin is the rejection of God's love, to chose not to love.
the way I act has an impact on the life after death. to reject God leads not to recognize God's presence for all eternity. Not to be inpresence of the infinite love of God for eternity is hell.
I do not think I have a choice. I can chose not to believe in these things but that does not change the transcendental reality of my existence and the reality of salvation and sin.

Well I believe that if you believe in God and you accept him as ur Savior then you will go to Heaven because I am a Christian. But if I had to choose one then I would probably would choose to have never existed because then I wouldn't have to go through all the pain and torture and suffering in Hell for eternity. And I can't really regret not living if I never lived ya know?

I would rather not exist than to suffer hell. If I never existed, I wouldn't know what I might have missed, anyway. I see non-existence as far preferable to hell. No further comment, per your request.

Well, if you answer this question, you must exist in the first place. I believe one should always vouch for existence, even if that existence is one of torment. It is still feeling, and that in itself is an affirmation that you exist. Hell implies that you've existed in the first place, and life.. is life. Life is beautiful.

well this is a question that will be based on peoples morals. another way of looking at is with love. When two people lvoe each other say one of them is moving. They can chose to date and be together knowing that they will have to break up in the end and be heart broken or they can decided not to be together. Compare it to that. Better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all.

I'm not an atheist, but to me the idea of hell assumes an irrational God.

How likely is that?

exitistentionalists don't believe in a heaven or hell. they think that our state of being is all there is. we make our own paradise everyday that we live by choosing to live in the positive as opposed to the negative vibrations of the universe. for that matter, we can choose Hell on earth if we are inclined to do so.
