The song is from the 70's and it sounds like something the Crosby stills Nash and Young or even super tramp might do. The Chorus goes, we can change the world or some where along that line. Its not Ten Years After "I'd love to change the world” The verse's music sounds almost like circus music. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

The name of the song is Chicago by Crosby, Stills and Nash. It is a protest song written after the riots during the 1968 Democratic Convention in which 7 people were were charged with inciting to riot. They were and still are refered to as "The Chicago 7". Google it.

I'm not sure of the song you mean (i would have said 10 years after), But I seem to recall a three dog night, or steppenwolf album with circus type caliope music in it. cant remember that song either.
