you took the words right out of my mouth....and now all your gonna do is doubt...i draw from memory what i want to be....but i forgot how to just be....never wanting to see the real inside of me cuz im scared of what i might see....im not happy with the way i am...or who i am...or what i do....i just go on walking without a phucking clue....so much for me and you...i do a piss poor job at my life but i seem to make it alright....and everyone i come in contact with i always end up hurting them and now there dead....but its the pain i feel inside thats killing me....i try to overdose on my memories...but its useless cuz they dont even remenber me....its sad when you cant feel what it is you need to be free...so go ahead and put in a new magazine....im just beacon of a broken dream...so much for what i wanna be...its so hopless cant you see....i just live in one deminsion thats soon to be dead....

Do it about Science Fiction. It has a lot of history. There are some stages in Sci Fi literature: The start The Golden Age The Silver age Cyberpunk Post cyberpunk Try to include the first authors like HG Wells, the go to something like Isaac Asimov who wrote the three laws of robotic. Also Arthur C Clarke with his 2001: A space oddesey. Aldous Huxley too, he wrote Brave New world. Well heres a list of some must-to-read sci fi books. 1. The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy by Douglas Adams 2. 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke 3. Dune by Frank Herbert 4. Neuromancer by William Gibson 5. I, Robot by Isaac Asimov 6. Tau Zero by Poul Anderson 7. Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlien 8. A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle 9. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip Dick 10. Contact by Carl Sagan 11. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne Contact 12. Time Machine by HG Wells 13. The War of the Worlds by HG Wells 14. Foundation by Isaac Asimov 15. Starship Troopers by Rober A Heinlein Try to explain what it is about, it a great genere. You'll need to find it by yourself, try reading something and it will change the way tou think about the world, nature, science, knowledge, other people, laws, truth, space, yourself. Sci Fi has a long history, but you can short it.

You did an excellent job . You are very talented..... If someone has hurt you or you have done something you aren't proud of it will be ok. I promise. I can see you pain in your poem. I think you need a friend and you feel alone but there is always someone that will listen. This world we live in is cruel but we have to make the best of it. It is so hard when we feel alone. I do think you have talent you need to apply yourself. Good luck and remember..... Here I stand a broken man but someone came along and gave me a helping hand. I'm no longer a broken man, just because I took their hand.

Hoss, your kind words about my poem made me feel great! I want to return the favor! First of all, keep writing! Believe it or not I can relate to the awesome feeling in this poem. I fight self-doubt and depression every day as do alot of people. Poetry is my therapy for life!! LOL Yesterday is gone and we can't change it. Be proud of who you are and what you are doing! a lot of confusing emotion.
try removing the "i" and "me"'s as the reader will understand this. the grammar/spelling needs a little work; although poor grammar can be intentional, i don't think this poem is trying to be.
beacon of a broken dream is a nice start, and i think this is where the poem starts, then you revert to an explanation of despair. try "showing" despair through imagery (the beacon is a nice example) my advice - start over at beacon of a broken dream as it establishes mood, point of view, and a canvas for further imagery.

Have you ever read any poetry other than your own? Maybe I should post that question... Are you aware of spell check? Or are the errors stylistic? You're really good at rhyming single-syllable words.
