I really don't like it. Just Shawn is very nice and I'd lose the apostrophe in Lamont.

Shawn Lamont Cooper is a beautiful name.

I like it. Just keep in mind that Dayshawn with different spellings is getting to be pretty popular. There's nothing ghetto about the name. Me and my sons father settled on Jacoby for our now 2 1/2 year old son because there are lots of white kids around where we are at with his name now so people dont automatically know he is black but that's really a personal choice. We probably wont do the same with the second because as simple as our sons name is people still can't pronounce it right so we arent going to simplify the next one. Pick whatever you want and ignore what others think.

Sean Lamont would have a nice, Celtic (Irish/Scottish) vibe. I would like that quite a bit! ;)

I honestly never understood the appeal of taking Shawn or Shaun (already an Anglicized form as it is) and then tacking on random prefixes or suffixes to somehow make it more interesting. It doesn't. Dayshawn, ReShaun, Keishawn, Shawndell, etc. ... no matter what made-up version you choose, all they manage to accomplish are making your child come across as lower-class and of sub-average intelligence. I'm not saying this is the case. Simply that it's exactly how future colleges and employers will view your son on paper.

He will one day be a man. Don't do him a disservice by making up something you think would be "cute" on a three-month or three-year-old, because on 33, it's decidedly NOT cute.

Sean Lamont Cooper ... perfect. ;)

Good luck, by the way!

I think its cute and unique... I and Its not GHETTO! I admire you for not picking another common boring old name. There needs to be some different names out there, not just the same ones over and over. And lamont is just so adorable and original... I mean its not like John or Lee which are the two most overused middle names for boys that I can think of! lol.
I also like the fact that it fits together and has such a nice sound! I think you definately found a great name! Although just a suggestion, maybe you could try experimenting with different spelling of Dayshawn like maybe Daishaun, Daeshaun, Dayshaun, DaiShawn etc..

Did you ever get picked on at school for you name?? If so think about the names you were called or what you baby could be called. I would try Lamont Dayshawn Cooper instead.

I think it's a gorgeous name, but I would drop the apostrophe; just make it Lamont. I think it sounds elegant and proper, and is a contrast to Dayshawn which is more exotic, and Cooper which is more "all American". It covers all bases so to say.

1. Not unless you're black.

2. Dayshawn looks like it was spelled by a first-grader.

3. Lamont sounds like a college.
