Yes, it is real. The word telekinesis wasn't coined by a fiction writer, but by a scientist. I doubt that it would have been coined and continued to be included in dictionaries and text books if it wasn't.

The mind is so powerful that it is frightening and even more frightening is that we cannot imagine just how powerful the mind can be. The powers we know about seem to be just the tip of the iceberg
