No, I seriously don't believe the world is ending because I seriously don't think the world has the potential to end. And I have to explain that religiously because it's the only way I know how: If we are to believe the verses in the Koran, Talmud, Bible, I believe it to be that Earth is "the hell" and the goodness is after. And that never ends.

The world is not in imminent danger, though some days it may feel like it. Neither is mankind, as a whole, in danger any time soon.

Doom sayers have been warning about the end of the world ever since there has been a concept of beginnings and ends. Almost every religious text has some depiction of the end of the world as part of its writings. That is just life.

On a global scale the world's weather is not changing significantly. Though global warming has been shown to be a fallacy, urbanization of increasing areas of land is having an impact on the earths livability for humans. This is a slow process and one that we are just starting to recognize.

What has ended is specific species of animal, locals, and cultures. Just because the world can take a lot of hits, and your neighborhood is not in danger does not mean that nothing is happening in the world. When a micro-environment gets destroyed, so too do its unique animals; when a non-native animal gets brought in by humans, it wreaks havoc. When a nation that changed borders 5 years ago (or 50 or 500) decides that that is their excuse for starting a war with no mercy then thousands may die; that is tragic, but that is war...

...And all of this has been going on since humans began, and we are still around.

The planet is going to suffer some major catastrophe, according to the holy scriptures. And yes, all major religions including Muslim believe the end of time as we know it is coming soon. Even the so called fortune tellers agree. The best source to learn about this subject is the Bible, however, it has to be studied out and you will need a really good Bible teacher to enlighten you. There are some good ones on TV; Perry Stone on Manna-fest, on Monday nights. Hal Lindsey is good on Friday and Sunday nights. Grant Jefferies on Thursday nights and Jack Van Impe is okay too. Then there is John Hagee. Check 'um out!

I think the second coming is upon us. The celestial phenomenon that occurred May,10 2000, the lining up of all the planets was the beginning. Life has always been a test here on planet school, see if we can avoid and ignore temptation, as did the Son of God. We will be tempted as He was every single day. Religion like science has little to do with it, as it has always been that we be Christlike.
Even Christians seem to hate, there is no time to hate.
Love is all there is. The way and the teaching of Jesus Christ.
Jesus was sent here to be like us. He felt all that we do, satan tempted Him as he does us, but Jesus never sinned.
If we could only turn away from these temptations, our rewards would be unimaginable, that is very hard, as we all like a short cut. I wish I can be like Jesus.
Yes, it is time, for the times are a changin'. You are right on!
God bless us all...

It sure seems like it. May God's will be done. I personally cannot see how the human race can come together to solve the problems that we have created. Many species are dying off and becomming extinct. The bible has so far shown to have been true.

Law of entropy best describes it as things that are in an "ordered" state of being, degenerate (even the slightest) as time progresses to a "less ordered" or "disordered" state of being. In order to maintain order, you have to utilize energy to maintain it. Our world as we know it is in a more noticeable sliding state of disorder. Disorder in ethics, in morales, spirituality, nature, civility, ... etc. The planet will still rotate on it's axiis and go on far much longer than the living creatures upon it, but it's getting to be ever slightly less a habitat for the living creatures on the face of it. Pray for the future generations, pray for yourself, and for someone else as we just try to enjoy the ride in the time we live. God Bless.

I read the world will end in 2012.
But then I read some meteor is heading our way and will hit us sometime in the late 2020's or early 2030's.

Exciting times ahead!

The world will not end. Mankind will go away, but the cockroaches will live on forever. So will Paris Hilton, she will never go away.
