I mean, it's like we might as well not even have the season. Just give sissy boy Brady and his Patriots the title now. Give me a break! I'm a diehard Steelers fan, and whether you like my boys or not, whether you are one of our rivals or not, you've got to be as tired of hearing this mess as I am! So let me know who your team is, and your opinion of all the hype about the Patriots already being crowned the champs! And once again, don't hold back!

From 1 steeler fan to another.
I HEAR YOU BROTHER!
The Pats will be tough this year, barring a major injury, but I can't crown them the champs yet. That's why they play the games!

specific, enable's base our critiques on the final 2 playoff video games and completely ignore regarding the 15 post season wins that they have got in the previous decade. The Patriots have a youthful protection that have been given particularly some sturdy experience and that they performed very sturdy in the final third of the season, permitting 7 factors or much less in 4 of the final 5 video games. they'll upload extra skills in the draft and could be getting starters DE Ty Warren and Leigh Bodden returned. The offense will proceed to post particularly some factors. i do no longer comprehend in the event that they'll win the super Bowl, yet they unquestionably would be between the proper contenders.

Fan of Atlanta and yea I know what you mean. Whenever I flip on sportscenter all I hear is tom brady this and Tom Brady that and how the Pats going to win it all. For one thing ESPN and all there other "experts" its ******* May why don't you stop giving BB a bj for a few months and wait until the season actually starts and the Pats prove that they should be the ******* champ instead of saying they going to win it in May. I mean I can go on and on about the Falcons winning it all but will that matter the slighest bit hell no. I mean who knows Brady could break something and be out for sometime and then the pats will rely on some scrub I would love every second of that and all the bagonwangers will be crying doomsday and hoping onto another team's bangwandon. I mean if anybody should be locks how about the ******* defending champs with one of the greatest qbs ever, wr ever, and maybe another great wr and a great young rb. Still ESPN goes on and on about Moss and Stallworth who cares Moss is thirty he isn't going to make the pats that much better....glad to get that off my chest

Yes, I am just sick of the Patriots and how they are a sure thing in the Super Bowl.
Remember, the Patriots still have to get past the Colts who beat them and there are several other AFC teams - your Steelers, Ravens, Broncos, and Chargers who could be very good this season...
And there's always a few teams who do better than most people expect, like the Saints last year.

Sissy boy? Even as a Cowboy fan and I can be more objective than that. You know, debating a point doesn't mean hurling blind, ridiculous, unfounded insults toward another team. I don't want to debate someone who begins their question in such a stupid way.
But I will anyway.
You can't debate that the Patriots were two warm bodies at WR away from going back to the Super Bowl. This isn't about Randy Moss or even Stallworth for that matter--if the Pats win it again those guys will just play a role. The Pats have been great and they have done it over several years. Brady is better than 90% of the QBs out there (Rothlesberger included) and if you can't see that then you can't be trusted to evaluate any team or player in an unbiased way. Brady is a gutsy leader who has played a huge role in his team winning so much and will get his team back to the top soon. Having two WRs that have pulses and can walk upright will only speed up that process.
This argument is just like what so many say about Emmit Smith:
He wasn't that good because:
"He had a great O-Line" (OK, then what about all those other backs who tried to be his backup and didn't amount to squat). "The other good/great players around him took focus off of him" (OK, then why do so many of the same Emmit haters happen to be Aikman, Irvin, Novacek haters--they can't have ALL sucked--and what about those times when defenses knew they had to stop Emmit in the 4th if they wanted a chance to win and couldn't stop him anyway?).
"He was favored and hyped because he was a Cowboy" and on and on ad nauseum. Few (other than C-boy fans) acknowledge that he was just a tough, dedicated and stubborn S.O.B. who was lucky enough to avoid major injury for most of his career. We've all seen more talented QBs than Brady and more talented RBs than Emmit fall flat on their faces because they didn't have it between the ears.
But I digress. The main thrust of the question was the Patriots.
If you can't see that a Patriots team that wasn't at it's best all year yet still was a good bet to go to the SB (they HAD Indy!) is much better off with two competent receivers over two incompetent ones, then you need to go to Pirates or Penguins games and leave the football to us big boys.
The moves they have made this offseason may have put them over the top.
Go talk about some thing you have a clue about.

I can't stand them or the hype that comes with. I guess its satisfying knowing that they have to win or their season is a failure because I don't think they will win. They made all the right moves except for Moss and as for puting his locker next to Brady's, don't think that will help. I'm reluctant in saying that I am a Charger fan because I dont want my views to seem as if they are coming from last year. The Chargers seem to be facing the same problem...Superbowl or bust. I'd like to see the Pats lose in a rematch (play-offs). We do have them during the season but I want them in the post season.

Bears fan and I have to say I am a little tired of all this. I mean people say they have made huge upgrades, but really they arent that big. They are still playing the AFC where there are about 5 other teams that could possibly win the AFC. I wont believe the Pats are gonna win it all this year until they win it all cause the AFC is just too good.

well I am tired of it b/c the season hasn't started and minicamps are just starting. I see why some would say Pats have the best chance but....any paper champions ever win the title....NO!!!. The Pats have a tough schedule with Colts, Broncos, and Ravens, all of which are contenders themselves. There are also teams that can pull off upsets as well.

agree. the patriots won't have a cake walk in their division this year. The jets are improved and the Bills aslo are improved. With the addition of Moss and Stallworth, who both are deep threats, i believe it hurts Brady. Brady is more effective with the dip and dunk passes, not the home run. Pats finish AT BEST 2ND in the AFC East. Besides only one's that are saying Superbowl are BanWagon Pat Fans. so Since Im a Bills Fan. im going to say the Bills are going to the Superbowl, and the Pats will be home sing your coulda, woulda, shoulda's.

I think that the Pats are the frontrunner for the Super Bowl title.
But still, let's not forget, the AFC title and Super Bowl are still the Colts to give. So someone has to take it from them first.
