My excuses to Madame up here, but I doubt Venus ever was the main influence for Taurus.
What i'm sure about is that many astrologers are way off target when it comes to astrological Solfege (though horoscopes tend to be ok).
In fact, signs like the capricorn are much more aligned with love and romance than the taurus. Add to that the mystery around Jesus being a capricorn, surrounded with shepherds (capri ---> shepherd... capitche?), and the mages guided to his birthplace by Venus a.k.a. the Shepherd's star... not much is left for taurus here.
What can be said without a trace of a doubt about taurus is: they remain young. They are unquestionably the human incarnation of antioxydation. So, yes, a taurus girl at some day might look better than a leo girl w/ same age as her. But in the bloom of age, no pure blooded taurus matches today's beauty standards.

I've never been attracted to Taureses, I don't know why, but I just never was. I guess too earthy looking? I do like Leo/Sagittarius/Aries/Aquarius guys, and even Cancer guys are cute...from a distance, that is.
But I can see how some people would like Taureses.

Simple, taurus is ruled by the planet venus. Even the not so nice looking ones have that certain something about them that people find appealing.
