First off, you might want to tell her that Hayden is also VERY "boring" -- part of the "Aidan" trend (Aidan, Braden, Caden, Hayden, Jadon, Raiden and any misspellings and other -aden sound creations you can imagine). Honestly, it's the largest grouping of names out there. Together, they'd be much more popular than Emily, Jacob and the like. If she wants something interesting, definitely something to avoid. ;)

let's see. the names you like are nice but overused. i know at least 5 sarah and 3 hannahs. only 2 briannas but still. your sister probably just wants something exotic. ^_^

I really like preppy names (do a search and you will pull up a list of preppy names). I also like names from books that I have read-like "Adele" from Jane Eyre..hehe. Other names that I like include Isabella, Isabel, Belle, Samantha...I could probably go on and on...but, I would recommend using google to pull up a long list of baby names.
