We had a fabulous 2 week vacation trip to Ireland & we absolutely love the dry humor of the Irish... Irish proverbs like: "Is minic a bhris beal duine a shron."means....It's often a person's mouth breaks his nose.
Instead of joining a bus load of camera-toting foreigners, we made up our own itineary, did a lot of research ahead of time, went around the Island counter-clockwise, ate at pubs, met the best folks in the world!
