for carving things into foam boxes
for sharpening crayons when there is no crayon sharpener
for cutting off when they get too long
for decorating (for girls unless.......)
for biting when you get nervous
for picking when you get bored
for breaking when you least expect it
for helping to open pop cans (i cant seem to do that without them)
to cover the skin under them otherwise our fingers would bleed heavily and might even shrivel up
for being a nuisance
