We are going to an evening wedding in June, would black be too boring, should I play off the blue since I cant wear red??

a cute navy and white polka dot dress would be awesome and you can also play off his red tie and accessorize with red bead necklace and bracelet. there are sooooo many cute options out there!!

The general etiquette for formal couple events is for the tie and main dress color to match. Since ties are faaar cheaper than dresses, why dont you have ur boyfriend wear a tie that matches one of your favorite dresses.
Remember, navy is THE universal suit color- it is flattering with almost every color tie.

I would go with the white shirt, and maybe the silver or blue tie. A red tie might clash with her dress.

Go buy a dress in a color that looks good on you. I don't like black at weddings, and it is boring.
Then, buy a tie that coordinates.
