The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was based on this man who used to find women, take them back to his house, and kill them. Then, he would skin them and wear their skin and eat there flesh and body part's. He actually inspired a lot of horror movie's. I'm not sure what his name was but, he was on E! True Hollywood Story. If I ever see it again, I'll be sure to contact you about it. But, the story of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre never happened but, it's based on different stories that are true.

I do think something like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre can happen in real life. There are a lot of people out there that are mentally unstable and you never know what they are capable of. There has been a lot of murder's that people never thought could happen, so, I defintaly don't think people should think this couldn't happen because you never know.

I hope I helped.

Of course not. Your talking about a mild mannered man that just loved cutting people up like there wasn't going to be a tomorrow. Bad? Nah, he just liked helping people out when it came to shutting their traps. Just a matter of time before a copycat steps into the picture with the sole purpose of redoing congress from the bottom up. After that I'll pay his room and board to repay the favor.

Check out this site, it's really freaky and will answer your question. It is not a true story, but based off the life of a man named Ed Gein who did kill people and cut off the skins and wear them.

It was based loosely on a story of a murderer who committed these acts. He wasn't leatherface and he didn't have a freakish family but it was somewhat similar.
