For my birthday I wanted to have a small party for my closest friends and go to the boardwalk. But this other girl Megan, who has some of the same friends as me, decided she wanted to rent a beach house for a week and invite a couple of my friends for like the only 3 days that i'm available to have my party. So basically now I cant have a party, and its not even her birthday! She told them they can't come to her beach house if they leave for a day to go to my party so yeah totally bitchy right? Is it wrong that I'm mad?

You have every right to be mad and she shouldn't try to be so controlling over her "friends" like that. A true friend wouldn't do that to her friends. If they wanted to leave to come to your party they should have every right to and they should see that she's just being selfish by saying they can't. Maybe you should let your friends know that it really upsets you. I'm sure if they are your true friends they will make the right choice and stick by your side. Good luck!

No it's not wrong that you're mad at all. This girl sounds like a serious power player who is using her beach house as a reason to get people to hang out with her. If she didn't have the house rental, those other people would be going to your party.

But...sometimes schedules clash, but her "rules" about the people going to her house are ludicrous and immature. In the adult world, people would be able to go to her house and go to your party. It's not you're throwing an overnight, you know?

Tell your friends that you think it's cool they're going to have a great time at Megan's house, but that they should be able to think for themselves about also going to your party. If they don't go, well, to be honest, maybe you need to bump those couple of friends to the acquaintance list and go get some better friends who take birthdays more seriously than rental beach houses.

Hang in there. Megan sounds like a piece of work.

I think you should still have your b/day party and your true friends will show up. IF this girl Megan actually told these ppl that they can't come to her beach house if they leave for a day to go to your party,..then any smart person would know Not to want to hang around her at all...that's totally selfish and how insecure can one get. You have a right to your feelings whether they be anger, frustration, hurt..I would still go ahead with your plans and see who comes. The ppl that actually go to the beach house to be around her.....I wouldn't want to be hanging around with anymore.
Best wishes*

Yes, you completely have a right to be mad. First off what a b- to steal friends away from your party, and second what b-'s of friends to go to a beach house with that b- instead of party with you on your bday that you only get once a yr. Is this a special bday? 16? 18? 21? I'd be especially mad if it was one of those.

What a skank. I think she's jealous that you have the same friends as her. Girls these days man. They have nothing to do.. just ruin peoples lives. I suggest you talk to her and tell her to re-schedule her "party" because shes ruining your birthday! If that doesn't work out.. Maybe you can contribute and change your b-day party day. Anything that will stop this drama. Good luck!!! :P

You have the rights to be mad girl! Don't care about her, just carry on with your party. If your friends are really your friends, they will come to your party no matter how good that girl's party will be.
You know what, i think that that girl is trying to show off her beach house to you and your friends. Go girl, just carry on with your party.

No, why is Megan trying to make your birthday all about her? Is she that self centered? Stick to your party plans, and have a great day. And have a Happy Birthday!

You have every right to be angry. This Megan girl doesn't seem very nice. unfortuanetly i have a feeling your friends will go to her "little pretty beach house' so you may want to plan it another day. Just ignore her, and excuse her for her rudeness. You are a loud to be angry with her, but you may not want to hold a grudge.
