she has been my best friend since preschool. but this year she went to a different school than i did. we were close in the beginning of the year, but we have both been busy and haven't had much of a chance to get together. i ask her when shes free and tell her when i'm free. she always tealls me she is busy, and i later find out that she wasn't really busy until like earlier that afternoon. she tells me she can't hang out, but then later decides to invite some one over without even inviting me. i haven't seen her in like three months and i really miss her.

i know what everyone is going to say, but she is a real frined, she just gets spacy sometimes and forgets about me.

i don't know what to do

we do e-mail, but it usually takes her a week to wright back and when she does it is like: i'm good, i have to go. i even try to call her and tell her to call me back but she normally doesn't.

Sometimes, it's best to just tell your friend how you're feeling. This has happened to me before, and I've found that the least painful thing to do is come up front, instead of dragging it out and feeling hurt all of the time. I totally understand the fact that she is a true friend--more often than not, things like this just need to be talked about. If she really does care, she'll say she's sorry and try to find some time, and if not, it may be more worthwhile to devote your time to someone else.

Sounds to me like your friend has grown and moved on and you are still in the same place. She made new friends and you are still hanging on to the past. You need to let go and contact her when you can and stop being so clingy. When you don't contact as much she will notice and contact you and you will be surprised. These things happen, friendships grow apart even if you live right next door.

I think what you should do is write her a letter or go visit her and explain her whats going on with friendship? Tell her how you feel and what can you do to go back to being best friends again. Try to go back in time when you and her were really close and had fun with each other maybe she will realize that she's been to spacey with you.

Right now give her space. Don't worry she'll realize sooner or later what a good friend she has found in you. Perhaps she is just feeling uneasy and shy to rekindle the friendship so be patient. That's normal actually so just be there for her.

That isn't being a friend to you. You already know it. Find someone else who will be a friend to you. Maybe she is trying to tell you with out coming right out and saying it. She doesn't want to hurt your feelings by telling you she doesn't want to hang out with you anymore. Save her from having to do that, go meet new friends.
