In my experience the best lyrics usually make sense to the person that writes them but sometimes not to the people who hear the music. Maybe you're not meant to be a writer if you just want to make words. They should mean something to you, and it's best when the listener can relate to them.

It is not that hard to make lyrics. If you want lyrics to rhyme AND make sense then that's hard. Then again though, most songs these days have a good beat, a barely average singer, and ridiculous lyrics. So you shouldn't be that far behind.

There are alot of songs that don't make sense, but NO its not ok to do this. You want your songs to mean something. Try a poetry book and base your writing off of a poem. Not all authors are sappy. Make it your own.

Well, there are plenty of things that don't make sense these days (see: Hilton, Paris)...so if you are writing songs about the world around you, then sure.

Yes, but usually they're made with hidden messages by groups on drugs. Example: "I Am the Walrus" by the Beatles.

Yes. People will come up with their own meaning, and you just have to keep your mouth shut and let the listeners argue.
