Motorcycle License - Sixteen year old and older may obtain a restricted license to operate a motorcycle. A motorcycle is defined as a motor vehicle having a seat or saddle for the use of the rider and designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground but excluding a tractor. The examination for this license is taken from the Alabama Motorcycle Operator Manual and the Alabama Driver's Manual. Upon satisfactory completion of the required examination, the applicant will be issued a Class M Alabama driver license. Class M indicates that the holder may operate a motorcycle only. The license is valid for four years.
In addition to the above restricted licenses, the Director of Public Safety has the authority to impose restrictions on your driver license when it appears that these restrictions are necessary for you to operate a motor vehicle safely. A common restriction is the requirement of wearing corrective lenses while driving. Another is the use of mechanical devices that aid physically impaired persons. Operation of a motor vehicle in violation of restrictions may result in the loss of your license.

it's easy, just go to your local dmv and obtain a motorcyle hand book and study it real good and then go to dmv and take the written test, pass it and then make an appointment to take the driving test which is easier than the test. you do afew manuvers for the testing officer..stop start left turn without putting your foot down , fast excellerate to 25 miles an hour and stop quickly on a line painted on the testing pavement, weave in and out between some cones..practice these manuvers and you'll pass easily. thats it !your on your way...they do have motorcycle training schools which is highly recommend they are good at what they do and it would probably cut your chances of an accident by 80 percent..its not a nice picture having an accident on a bike, big or small, the courses arn't much.
thats it ride safe and free.

If you go to MTII you shold be able to get all the information you need as far as locations and testing. I took the course and it was rough because its Saturday and Sunday 7AM both days, Sunday you take the test. Mornings are on the course and the afternoons are in the classroom.

Everything you learn on the course and in the class will be on the test. It's well worth it so you can have your endorsement!!! Good luck and happy riding!!!!!!!!!!!
It just occured to me, I think this is for only Florida, damn sorry!
