An existential funk is that rare and beautiful talent some have for self-pity. No one can feel sorry for the person in the funk better than the person in the funk.

Add in a little self-loathing and the person can be on the verge of suicide in no time.

Ahhh, usually am in a funk, most of the time wondering why I'm here, what purpose we are all here for and sometimes negatively ponder about what the whole point of being alive is for. I think if you stew over this too much, your funk will just become worse because there's not really any clear answer as to why we are here.
