1/2 x 2 1/5 = 1 and 1/10
What I like to do is change fractions into decimals. Therefore, it would be .5 x 2.2, which equals 1.1 or 1 and 1/10. If you still don't understand how to do it, type it in a calculator.
Hope this helps!

first make your mixed fraction an improper fraction:
2 1/5= 11/5 (just multiply the two by the denominator (five) and add the numerator (one))
then it's easy 1/2 x 11/5 just multiply the top with the top, the bottom with the bottom and simplify.
1/2 x 11/5= 11/10
if you want it in mixed fraction form simply subtract the numerator by the denominator.
11/10= 1 1/10
