No. Take it from the wife of gamer who now has a Wii, XBox and playstation 2 and a laptop especially for gaming. You will always take a back seat. They are addicted to gaming just like a drug. Find a new boyfriend.

Guys don't change. As the old saying goes, "Women marry guys thinking they will change, but they don't. Guys marry women thinking that they will stay the same, but they don't".
If you have a guy who is into sports, join a hundred million other wives. Guys like sports. There is nothing wrong with that. Now his playing with games indicates he really is still a boy. Some women find that appealing because it means you man loves to play, have fun and is adventuresome. However, he isn't a man, so don't expect him to be stable, hard-working, committed to career and family, etc. His play will always come before you, children, jobs, family, home, etc.
So, take him as he is, and that may not be bad, or not, but don't try and change him.

He sounds like a typical man. You'll never change him. Just let him watch soccer and play on his playstation, but remind him too that you are part of his life and he should remember that. They should not come before you. Good luck!

My husband is a computer programmer and makes video games for a living. Asking him not to play video games is like asking him not to breathe. We make it a point to spend alone time together, away from other things.
It's either something you can live with, or something you can't. Changing someone never works out, people just end up angry. Good luck, I hope it all goes well for you.

Never think someone is going to change. Accept him as is. If you don't like the as is, get out of the relationship

He will not change.
Find your own interests and hobbys outside of the relationship so you do not feel bored when he is busy playing.
Good luck to you!
