is anyone else scared of needles. Shots, injections, and hting that sticks into ur skin?

not like tattoos. Like when it goes INTO your skin. Tattoos dont do that. and i dont mean afraid of sharp things in general either. Just things that go into your skin. Like a shot.

Not scared, but I can't watch.
Heres a funny story, I am 20 and had a operation last year and it took 3 aneathatists 5 goes to get the IV line (because my veins roll away) and I thought it was the funniest thing i'd ever seen even though it was a giant needle. Then this year when I had my flu shot the doctor was holding it up in front of me and I had tears in my eyes and he said "You're not scared of a litle needle are you?" and I just turned my head and let him do it and then he gave me a hug and said "You where very brave."

I don't know that I'm scared of needles, but the older I get the harder it is for me to take an injection or have blood drawn without feeling like I'm going to pass out.

Needlephobia's correct name is "Belonephobia".
It can be defined as a fear of sharp objects such as pins or needles
This can be severe enough in some cases to warrant people being sedated due to the fear and anxiety the thought and/or sight of a needle causes.

I'm not sure what it's called, but I definately can't stand watching needles and stuff going into my skin. It seems disgusting and almost inhumain, even though it does help.

I have been jabbed with needles and and ice pick and once a knife, so needles and shots are no big thing,,,,,

hunny i have not had a blood test in years...& when i was younger & went to the docs no lie i used to run around the whole office until they tamed me down & gave me the freakin shot
