Only in the sense that the people with the most money are the ones who can afford to advertise the most, and regardless of their political background, people see them the most. Therefore, people are more likely to follow/vote for them. Its almost like brainwashing if you ask me.Also, the media is often greatly influenced by a political party or person with money so they can be controled.

I just think they say what they think the public wants to hear . The worst are the commercials where the candidates bash each other...it's so tacky and childish. I think they should just state their beliefs and what they plan to do if elected and leave everyone else out of it.

Yes because it is all mud-slinging. No more what you can do and why you deserve the votes....it is all about "vote for me because I am not as bad as my opponent."

Maybe, I just cant stand those commercials. And they keep starting earlier and earlier!
