My wagtail platy seems to be covered with some white powder, but it isn't popped up like ich. I'm sure that it's not ich or fungus. It's skin is just white on one side. Started 2 days ago. Anything I should do?

Check the area very carefully with a bright flashlight. If under bright light you see that the white powder has a somewhat gold or rust colored appearance, it a condition called velvet. Use a medication with both malachite green and formalin to treat this (use for a 3 days or so after the spots disappear to be sure it's all killed - full treatment can be 10-21 days). It also helps to keep all light off the tank while treating - it's not necessary to turn of room lights for a full blackout, but no sunlight or lights over the tank.
