Why is it assumed by many, that Black people are the largest benifactors of welfare? Why should welfare recipients who really need help go hungry because of a bunch of ignorant rednecks who don't pay taxes anyway.

Welfare should go to those who NEED it. Regardless of race or class, welfare should be given to those who are really struggling and looking to make an honest living not somebody who just uses the system for their own gain (when there's others out there who are denied welfare because of a few ignorant people).

wow thats offensive in about 100 ways just cuz were "rednecks" doesnt mean we dont need welfare just as bad as a black person my moms a single mom with 2 kids she works 3 jobs and i work myslef but its still hard to put food on the table, keep the lights and heat on, have clothes, get around the city, pay rent and just basically live everyone has difficulties at some point some more than others and sometimes you just need help no matter if youre black or a "redneck"

Wow! Well the truth is welfare is supposed to be received by those in need temporarily of all races; but unfortunately there are many selfish people out there who choose to rape the system. Like a 52" TV in the 6/9 bedroom, BMW in front of the building with a boot on it and more bling then Mr. T in there mouth alone. Their priorities are screwed, therefore the working class get screwed. I say screw me no more leave that to my husband.

Blacks are a minority of the general population, so it is unlikely that they make up a majority of the welfare recipients. Maybe (just maybe) a larger percentage of blacks receive welfare than the percentage of whites. It isn't the rednecks' taxes that pay for welfare, because they don't make enough. It is the taxes collected from the rich (75% of tax revenue is collected from the richest 25% of the people).

Over the years I have seen more white people receiving some kind of government assistance (e.g. food stamps, WIC checks, EBT cash, SSI, SSDI, welfare, food bank, etc.) then I can shake a stick at. Rural, poor whites are probably the largest recipients of government handouts. Republicans have always been hypocrites and they always will be hypocrites. They probably bich because they think only whites should be entitled to government assistance.

Welfare isn't just limited to one group or race -- there are plenty of people from all walks of life in the checkout lines ahead of me, using their food stamp cards. And no, I don't check to see what they buy. . .as long as the food gets to them and their families, more power to 'em.
Nobody should go hungry. White, black, Hispanic, children, old people, disabled -- anybody who's in need of help should be able to get enough food and money to care for themselves.
I know people say, "It's not our problem." But I personally feel that food, health care, and decent shelter are the least that any society should provide for those who can't meet their own needs.

Come to my city and I'll show you a bunch of white trash hillbillys that haven't worked a day in their life. They have 3-4 kids so they can scam the government even more. I think it's horseshit. Everybody should have to pay taxes.
