Generally I dislike rap because it can be very noisy and meaningless at times. Also, there are often a lot of obscene words used in the lyrics.
Also, heavy metal or really hard rock because it is too loud and there is often a lot of pointless yelling involved.

most music of today lacks substance, I hate new country, it is meaningless. As is pop.
I will stick to the true indie music (bands that are not mainstream, thus no longer indie, not sure why they try to keep that label).
Or I just listen to the oldies, back when they new how to write music.
