is Bana a pretty name for a girl?

bana does become banana way too easily!!! Children never really seem to appreciate the unique names, the way parents do.....they like to be special, and yet fit in all at the same time. The library will have baby name books- write down a list of the ones you like, and then just keep going over them. One or two will stick with you, and some you'll get tired of. Once your child arrives, you'll know who they are and choose the perfect name. Good luck with your pregnancy!

I am not a fan, as it reminds me too much of banana, or a child trying to say banana at least. How about:

Danna (I love this on its own or as a nickname for Danica)
Brianna (nickname Bana)
Janna
Jayna/Jana
Dana
Lanna
Johnna
Anya
Channa
Evanna
Shawna
Gemma
Tanna
Vanna (Or Savannah nickname Vanna)

'Bana' is not a name. Were you trying to name your poor unborn child 'Banana' but you simply failed to spell it?

'Bana' is also a somewhat archaic South African word for 'black person'. It is considered extremely racist to call someone a 'bana'.

I actually know someone named Bana. It suits her very well. I like it. It really has to do with your own opinion and the personaility of the child.

=)
