I am a 13 year-old fan the NBA. I do not have a favorite team or player, nor do I hate any player. I think he is innocent. Guilty of adultery, but innocent of rape. I don't want to be judgemental since I wasn't there, but evidence of another sexual partner was found on 2 pairs of her clothing and her body. It is highly unlikely that the DNA experts made the same mistake 3 times. She also attended alcohol parties in the weeks after. She was clearly not as traumatized as she claims.
Also, Kobe's knee and shoulder were hurting that night, and he couldn't even play in the first few games of the season. To my knowledge, the woman is about 5'10". No way would he have the strength to force her. Yes, an 8-inch height difference is a lot. But I am 5'1" and 100 lbs and I know I can hold off a 5'9" person with only 2 healthy limbs
I want to know more about the person Kobe is behind the way he acts on TV. This subject is controversial, but please keep your languaage clean.

I honestly believe that Kobe did not rape the alledged victim. I believe she was after his money. The thing that bothered me most upon hearing about this was that Kobe cheated on his wife. He made a vow to his wife, and unless they get divorced, he should refrain from becoming involved with other women. I am happy that she didn't leave him though, because it would be the last thing that his young daughter would need.

NBAs golden boy was guilty of being human and being like every other NBA player in the league who has sex wife people on the road.
People who hate Kobe had a field day with this. People who loved kobe insisted his innocence so things became polarized like OJ.

This happened in June of that year. The first few games of the season were in Sept/Oct. so don't know where you are going with that.
I agree that you weren't there and don't know for sure, but we have to trust the justice system. That is why it is there. I don't like to trust them, but I have no choice (ie. OJ). What I or you believe at this point has not bearing on anything, unless we let our beliefs on the case influence how we treated Kobe if we were to meet him in person.
gotta compliment you. you speak clearly for your age, keep it up.

Kobe is guilty of adultery, not rape. This woman was after money. I'm not a Kobe fan, but I don't think he would have to rape anyone.

I don't think that Kobe committed the crime of rape. Given the fact that there were different semen specimens on the same pair of panties, that ruined any credibility that she may have had.
Things just didn't add up from the start.

Unfortunately, young 13-year olds are influenced to a great degree by professional athletes who set poor personal standards for themselves. They may excel at professional sports, but are often misguided by their celebrity status, thinking they are "bigger than life" and that they are "untouchable." Couple that mindset with their affluent lifestyles and their exhorbitant incomes, and you have all the ingredients you need for a major trainwreck.

Well, Kobe himself admitted that he had "consented" sex with the girl so there was no rape. And I believe him. The girl was proven to be of ill-repute. She had had sex with another man less than 24 hours before she did Kobe and that shows you the kind of girl she is. She simply wanted money and, probably, fame.

After, what he did I don't understand how the wife could stay with him, but I guess she is getting well paid for it. I don't really have any opinions of him one way or the other. Only God can judge.
