Although the league has implemented many rules which slow the game down, my favorite thing about basketball is almost instantly the game becomes very fast and intense on a break-away and its fun to see what the superstar will manage to think up in just a split second.

I love basketball. and to the girl saying that it is a waste of time, what about the children who have no chance of ever geting higher then a "D" on any test and use basketball as their escape code, the kids who play basketball instead of joining a gang. And how can you just shoot down someones dream and say it can't be done, thats just wrong

I was 'neutral' on basketball until I spent a year in Argentina and saw all those little children in Buenos Aires spending untold numbers of hours trying to become soccer stars. It was easy to see that with only Boca and the National team available, most (if not all) of them would get no career out of a tremendous amount of effort.
I came back to the States, and all of a sudden, all those kids playing b-ball all the time wasn't such a harmless activity.
What if, for example, they were studying math with even HALF that intensity? Wouldn't it mean that much more to their ability to have a career? Maybe even just support themselves?
Basketball has overgrown its natural boundaries and taken up way too much time and attention for whatever it returns in the way of exercise and camaraderie.
I don't like basketball; it is a waste of time on all levels, in all venues, for all concerned.

YESSS....i luv the game of basketball.....ever since i went to my first Nba game, i just fell in love with the sport. its very exciting both to play and watch. overall my favorite team is the detroit pistonsss!!

I love to play basketball downtown with my pals, but I don't like to watch it on TV. Can't stay focused on it...

i have been a basketball fan for a long time, but all the pussy league rules, and flopping in the NBA is making me watch less of it .....
