they're just trying to pretend that they have lives by telling the rest of us that we don't

I guess they haven't learned patience is a virtue and expect instant gratification here as they do in other area's of their lives . It is some as you kindly stated , there are exceptions we can appreciate also . Saying we have no lives is an easy tag-line for them to use , but they don't realize they are just acknowledging their own need to get a life and work on it a bit before challenging those that have been there and done that .
