well too bad i dont! its loud! and when its on the ipod it sounds like static! and why do they bark like dogs in rock metal? thats not singing its just racket!!!

I ⥠rock! And so do most people in the ROCK and POP category! We don't really give two flying fux what you think about it! You seriously need to get the facts before you open your big mouth. And duh, it's supposed to be loud! And if you hate it so much, why do you have it on your iPod? And if it sounds like static, you must need a new battery. Or maybe you need to turn the volume up. "Bark like dogs?" Whoa! They don't "bark". They either talk/yell or scream. Like YYYYYYAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! And rock and metal are two different things. You sound so ignorant. And as for "racket", that's a synonym for rap.

Whoever you are, you sound like one of those people who worship Paris Hilton and think Billie Joe is bad.
Rock is not only a genre of music, its much more! Rock music is so much better than any other genre, they have amazing instrumentals, great vocals.. and good guitar work. They dont bark or scream. Those are probably the "Metal/Death Metal/Gothic Rock" bands ur talking about. Even if they scream, or "bark" in ur case, which they most certainly dont, they tend to have amazing instrumentals and lyrics.
If you dont get what I mean.check out the contrast
Look at the lyrics to an Ashlee Simpson song and look at the lyrics to an In Flames song. In Flames are death metal, just told you to check them out, to get your misconception cleared about them barking and stuff.
You must listen to November Rain by Slash too. He is an amazing guitarist.
Trust me, you will love rock, if you just listen to the right stuff.

Deep Purple Rules! Even though rock is the root of metal, it is too slow and not distorted/Chrunchy enough for me. Take a listen to Behemoth's Demigod. Now we have some stage diving, ear popping, face kickin CHAOS! Blow your ipod up with that!!!!..There are 100's of genre's in rock/metal.. I am a musician and I appreciate them all but I prefer the fast/hard and heavy sounds of progressive/speed/doom/symphonic doom/goth and thrash metal..But Ill listen to T&A singers like Shakira and Christina Agulara only because their Hot!!!!! Don't let anyone else know about this....It will ruin my Thrasher immage

It's not just racket!
what you're talking about is a very small minority of rock (the bad minority). There is so much rock out there that has great beats and amazing instumentals. If you hear bands like My Chemical Romance and greenday and think, hey! that's what all rock sounds like, you're very wrong.
Listen to Pink Floyd's On the Turning Away and Bad Company's Bad Company and you will hear some great vocal talents.

That's metal. Rock is an absolutely enormous genre. Before you dismiss it completely try listening to different things. If you like rap then try listening to rage against the machine for instance. Or you could try punk bands like early green day, the clash and the sex pistols. There are lots of different bands out there - they're not all screaming death metal.

What exactly is on your playlist? Try listening to the lyrics instead of just the shouting. Also, they don't bark, okay! And besides why do you have rock songs on your iPod if you don't like rock in the first place?

Yes I love rock.. I could care less whether you do or not.
Not all rock has "barking" by the way.. Try listening to classic rock.. That is the best music out there.

there are many kinds of rock. manymanymany. Rock goes a long way back & most of the stuff that is out now and calls itself rock isn't. You really should not generalize.

the only kind of rock i can listen to is the old rock,like back in the 50s and 60s.stuff like the beach boys and dion and the belmonts.stuff like that,soft rock,none of this junk they got today.

I like some rock- alternative and indie. I don't really understand metal. it's all just screaming and nonsensical words. If you don't like rock, something's wrong with you.
