I can think of one, and it is really scary.
Consider this: when you get one of those error messages that says a program crashed or something, when you click OK or whatever you click, where does it go?
Perhaps they escape into the depths of your hard drive, hidden but not gone. When there are enough, they all clump together and rise up to usurp your system idle process so that the instant you stop moving the mouse, the computer blows up. Yikes!!!!!
So it's an evil error-message monster! We'll call it Joe. Every Joe has a serial number, so you call it Joe (#########).
But of course Joe is always sealed away by anti-virus programs. But forget to run your virus scan too many months in a row, and Joe may just get out and take over your computer...
