I was just wondering how it makes you feel when you read questions about post abortion care, i am a mother and i don't think this parenting site is the appropriate forum for it, it really is upsetting, i don't think it's a matter of pro life or pro choice, it just seems to be that parents and people who want to be parents are not the ones to ask about such things

yes i know but don't you think there is a better category to put such questions in, like health or something, not parenting,or trying to concieve

I lost my baby in my second trimester last year and have been trying to conceive again since the beginning of this year. As someone who's both lost a baby and is trying to conceive I find it insensitive for people to post abortion questions in THIS category.

By all means I am NOT saying people don't have a right to discuss abortion issues... I just think it's insensitive to post those questions on the "Trying to Conceive" board.

I guarantee you if there was an "Abortion" category people who were trying to conceive would stay out of it.

Thanks for the thought-provoking question.

i just lost a daughter 2 months ago to anecephaly. It was devestating. My husband and I are TTC again but after losing a child you value things more and I agree with you that this is not the place to mention abortion. There are people out there that have been trying for months, years even decades to get pregnant and here come a 14 year old girl( or whatever age) who get knocked up by mistake and they take their babys life when that life means so much more to the next person. adoption is the answer. I was adopted and you dont know how thankful I am to my birthmother for not snuffing my life out. i truly understand some of the reasons that one may consider getting an abortion but after those 9 months give the baby up and its done.... you have to look at the big picture.

I agree with you. Perhaps they could have a separate section for abortion questions. It seems that too many want to start controversies with most of the abortion postings anyway, many of the questions/comments I have seen are just people who are trying to get a rise out of pro-lifers, and I find that bothersome.

As someone who suffered a miscarriage in the past, I find it very sad that people are asking how to purposely induce a miscarriage. Ick.

If a question relates to abortion than I agree with you...it should not go under the pregnancy/parenting category. It's kind of inappropriate here really. A better category would be womens health.

I do believe in a woman's choice to do what she pleases with her body but I think that today girls are treating abortions as a form of birth control and abusing the system. In this day and age there are very few reasons why a woman would have to choose to have an abortion. There are way too many birth control methods out there for us to be abusing abortions over & over. I work with doctors and I see THE SAME young girls comming in over and over asking for abortions. Its heartbreaking because I am one of the many women out there who is dying and doing all that I can to have one of my own.

Abortion is not the solution to your problem. If the father of your unborn child wants you to perform an abortion, consider the physical and emotional impact carefully before going through with this. As the mother, it’s you who will suffer both the emotional and physical implications of abortion, not him. So make sure to think this through. Ultimately, the decision is yours and yours alone. But if you’re looking for our input, we simply will not and cannot recommend you getting an abortion as it conflicts with our pro-life policy. Pregnancy for me is a total approach in both mind and body. Here is the link FYI http://aboutgettingpregnant.com

What exactly are you asking? Especially of people ttc. In that aspect I have to agree that this forum is not the one for that. I think it is insensitive to post questions of that nature in a forum where women are dealing with a obvious painful situation of ttc. Abortion qustions should be posted anywhere but here.

I'm not ttc, but I agree with you. Some people are just getting rid of babies like yesterdays trash while others would do anything for the chance to be a mother.
