I am 21 weeks pregnant and every time my husband and I have sex I get a track infection each time. My dr said it was okay but I don't feel its right. Has any one had something similar like this before?

its common because your not getting cleaned afterwards..

are you peeing before and after (mostly after)?

is it comfortable during sex?

are you drinking plenty of fluids...

maybe try drinking a glass of cranberry juice daily....

It seems as if our body's immune system slows down with all the changes. Best way to avoid UTI's is to urinate before and after intercourse. This washes away any bacteria that may be lingering near the urethra.

I read in a few articles that UTI's and Yeast infections are extremely common in pregnant women!! Don't worry too much. Just be sure you are drinking at least 64 oz of water each day and do not hold your pee, empty your bladder all the way!! If you leave some urine in the bladder, it can build up bacteria causing the infection. The large amounts of fluids are required for a healthy pregnancy, a glass or two more will more than likely eliminate any infection simply because you are constantly flushing your system!! Good luck!

What's a track infection? A urinary tract infection? If that's what it is, and you are sure, it sounds like your partner needs to wash everything (hands, fingers, etc) carefully before you get going, and you need to bathe carefully after.

Or, you may have a sperm allergy. I thought I had yeast infections for years, and it turned out I had a severe sperm allergy! Caused horrible burning pain for about 24 hours or more after sex. So, try having sex with a condom for a few weeks, and see if that helps!

first of all do not listen to that persons answer that says drink a gallon of water a day. That is ridiculous. yes its important to drink water but not that crazy amount. you do that and you will get water poisoning..yes you can drink too much and it can kill you. moving on to your UTI question UTIs are very common during pregnancy...some woman...pregnant or not get UTIs every time they have sex. I just gave birth 2 months ago and I noticed im getting more UTIs also. Ive had 2 in the last 2 months and I think i only had 1 before ever in my life. Its nothing major so just relax and enjoy the pregnancy

if you keep getting an Urinary tract infection you are not drinking enough water, you should be drinking at least a gallon of water a day, and if sex is painful the best thing to do it be well lubricated and pee right after sex

My first wife had the same problem. Make your husband use a condom until the baby is born. If that doesn't stop the problem, no sex until after Jr comes along.

My doctor told me to urinate before and after intercourse to keep that from happening. If that doesn't work for you then perhaps you should see a different doctor. Remember that doctors are human too and prone to make mistakes just like the rest of us. That's why it's important to seek a second opinion when you don't agree with your doctor.
