People were associating the military thing and brutality. Which is causing KFC a lot of trouble right now due to the heat from Peta and major celebrity's throughout the world with regards to the chicken cruelty. I think they are using a cuddly looking grandpa to fix the damage to their reputation.

I think he used to be a hard *** but now he's always eating chicken so he's happier and therefore nicer.
