Their armies had disintergrated. Divisional strength was non-existant, mere flags on a map. Formations were named after the highest ranking commander on the scene...eg, battle group Heinrici. Tanks rolled off the production line straight into battle. Hitler youth with boys 12-15 defended berlin. The skies belonged to the allies. German infrastructure was obliterated.... shall i go on....?

Essentially, it had devolved into a stalemate at best. The Russian Front was collapsing in on itself, and the Allied Forces were pushing in from the Western Front. Rommel had long since lost the Southern Flank, and Italy was virtually broken. Only Japan was left in a halfway (at best) situation.
To say that their condition was still winnable would be a gross overstatement.
Germany did have a great military force, however; Hitler shouldn't have pushed into Russia. Since they were in a non-aggression pact at the start of the war, Hitler could have 'mopped up' England and had the entire Western side of Europe under his grasp.
But, people get greedy, and that's usually when the war is lost.

Hopeless. Most of Germany was already occupied by the Russian Red Army and the Allied Armies. Only a few German Army units were still active in Berlin, North-Germany, Bavaria and a few Dutch and German North Sea Islands. Fuel for tanks and planes had virtually run out. Replacement of men, weapons and ammo was impossible. Their last reserves were lost in the Ardennes Offensive. Many Army units existed only on paper.
Especially in the East, millions of Germans were running away from the Red Army, afraid of reprisals for the ruthless treatment of the Russian people. Many Germans, sometimes whole villages, commited suicide rather then fall in the hand of the Russians.
SS units were everywhere, shooting and hanging deserters and "saboteurs", or just for speaking out against the Nazis.
Old men, wounded soldiers, and young boys were drafted to halt Russian and Allied tanks with make-shift weapons. Orders were given to fall back to a fortified position in Bavaria, to destroy everything in the way of the invading armies, to start a guerilla campaign behind enemy lines, but nothing came of it.
Food was difficult to find, and people in the towns were starving. Many Germans were just trying to survive in ruins, basements and bomb shelters.

Hitler kept Germany in that war far beyond what would normally be considered humane. We had to grind them into the ground until we actually fought our way through Berlin to his headquarters. Then the coward poisoned himself and ordered his body burned so he wouldn't be dragged through the streets like Mussolini was. Fortunately, the Americans followed the war with the Marshall Plan, which helped Germany get back on its economic feet. We've been fast friends ever since.

Oh man, they were screwed. Everything was bombed to pieces, and the Ruskies killed, raped, and pillaged their way through the east. The economy was in shambles and the people were praying they'd be taken by the Americans and British to avoid the violent, raping hands of the Russians.
I specifically spoke in non-academic terms so you'd have to do some thinking and researching of your own, as it's so painfully obvious this is an 8th grade homework question.
