Yes, you are definitely a victim of racism. I'm very sorry that you are having to experience such negativity. This nonsense angers and disappoints me. You do NOT have to tolerate this behavior. Be a good person and don't resort to bringing yourself down to their level. Just tell every authority figure who can take steps to correct this situation. Tell teachers, the principal, school couselors, your parent(s)/guardian(s), and even law enforcement if it gets to the point that no one else can/will do anything. It is against the law to harass people. Fight it, but fight it in the appropriate manner.

That sucks man.. I'm sorry. Why not approach a teacher or counselor and start a Latino Student group or club. Throw a Latino themed dance...teach people about Latino culture by giving holidays some visibility, teach Latino dances at the dance your club can throw, ask them to mix in some Latino music at the next school dance. I think the school would react positively to your request. If you're feeling like this I bet you are not the only Latino student who is. Schools should feel safe and welcoming and I bet any teacher would help you out in making sure it can be in the future. Just think, you could be the one to help turn this around.
Be proud of who you are! Never let them make you feel any less than who you know you are.

You are a victim of racism. Anytime you feel you are belittled because of your ethnicity, it is commonly known as a "hostile envioronment" You should report it to your teacher. Maybe ask for a meeting between the teacher, yourself, and the principal. Put a stop to it now, because it will get worse. By not doing anything immediately, you are sending a message that it's okay for them to say the things they're saying. This is a classic case of racial bullism.

Yes, you are a victim of racism. Tell your principal.
They may want to hold an assembly to re-enforce that name-calling telling jokes about someone because of the way they look or their race is against school policy.
However, the way I handled it was to not react to anything they said. No facial changes, nothing. Just silence. They eventually got tired of it and went away. But I may have been lucky.

Don't take the "victim" mentality.
Make Irish jokes to a kid named O'Brian. Make British jokes to a kid named Johnson. Make Italian jokes to a kid named Pertelli. Get the idea?
"Hey, when you going back to Mexico?"
"Just as soom as you get back on the boat to Ireland, OBrian!"
We are all decendents of immigrants here.

People in general are jerks. I think you should not give them the time of day and deal with this issue with adults that will take this serious. Most times horrific things happen when people are taunted. I wish you luck. Just don't feed into what they are saying.

idiots.
well you could approach this 2 ways, you can defend what 'brand' of Hispanic you are or you can tell them to f... off and see what happens. Either way, I really wouldn't spend a lot of time worrying about them. they are total ignoramus' and sadly America is full of them.

Yes you are. You have a few options: ignore them, stoop to their level, report them, or confront them and tell them to cut the bull because they're just telling the world how ignorant they are.

Aren't you the same guy who cannot construct simple sentences yet somehow got into NYC just to face the same crap you 'are now'? Your story is the same, your grammar and spelling is the same.
