The interruption of a natural process. Our death rituals inhibit the natural process of what happens when living organisms die.

An optimistic speculation would be that human kind (or whatever we become) will spread through the universe, and thus the end of "every person" will either never come (if the universe continues to exist forever) or occur at the end of the universe (such as in the Big Crunch).

A more pessimistic thought would be that we're simply going to kill each other to extinction.

Thats easy, its called death. We are all formed from elements of our planet. When we die we breakdown and our bodies recycled back into the earth. But seeing as how we still contribute to our planet after we die, death isnt the absolute end. Once all nutrients and other useful things have been derived from our bodies after we are buried and there is no more use for our dead bodies biologically or physically that is probably the absoulte end.

In the true nature of reality there is No End to anything; and "end" is perceptual in nature as is a "beggining"; such perceptions are propped up by our very nature as our reality is propped up by the prime facade called "time"; time leads us, time tells us where we have been and where we wish to go; this tool is ours by right as we created it and it was a good thing as it keeps us focused in "the now"; as eternal beings we entered the physical world for the schooling it brings;

In the non-physical form we exist as consciousness, we are more "us" dead than "alive" and we shall always be "us, me and You....there is no beggining nor end, only choices in our directions and pursuits we choose.

One may define "death" as the "end" yet, death is more of a beggining-birth as we move forward to evolutinary changes as a person and species.

Depends if you measure from the head down or from the feet up.

Seriously, putting your mind in neutral and joining the rat race.

Peace

Everything is composed of matter which is in turn composed of energy. Energy in of it's self does no have awareness. You have awareness, therefore you are not your body.

I believe that this awareness, or spirit will survive the death of your body, and take another form.

Nobody knows for sure. But I believe in reincarnation. Why, I don't know. But this is not the end--nor is death.
