not at all I let mine do the ironing, shopping and cooking HE loves it the only thing I draw the line at is I do all the cleaning and drinking the wine and reading the paper. I draw the line at watching football though but I let him have that as a treat now and then.
He has the sense of contributing and belonging then.

There are some jobs in life a woman does better. I believe ironing is one of them - and I'm a woman! I cant say I love ironing, but I would never let my husband iron anything. I'm 50 and a bit old fashioned, I guess. It's all down to age - the ladies in the younger age groups dont do "domestic"

My husband is a better housekeeper than I am. I only do the ironing now because I now work part time since our daughter was born.
Of course not selfish.

No your not selfish, if he wants his crap ironed then show him where the outlet is. Good lord just because he's your husband doesn't mean you have to be his mother.
If he's calling you selfish he should look in the mirror.

What's the big deal? My older sister showed me how to iron my own clothes soon after our mother died (and our father had to tend to the shop all day long). I have ironed my clothes, and the family's, since then. And now I am 50+.
It is a chore to be sure. And I do it as a chore. Get on with it.

Why would you be selfish. When you married did you promise to wait on him hand and foot? I'm no feminist but long gone are the days Mrs pampers Mr. Its a 2 way thing now.

Yep...a wife's job is to take care of her family and part of that is making sure the laundry is done and your man has something nice to wear.
Man, women are getting lazy these days..They don't want to do anything for their husbands..and people wonder why they cheat or want divorces!
For the record, I am a wife and have been married 14 yrs.
