Certainly.
Goldfish are omnivores and require a fairly well balanced diet. About 40% protein, 25% fat and 35% carbohydrate. These should come from a variety of sources to give a proper balance of vitamins, minerals and micro nutrients.
Most any vegetable is good goldfish food assuming you soften it enough for the fish. Green veggies are particularly good.
Sugars are not really needed in a fishes diet and can basically be ignored. They are biologically cheap energy, but the fish will get all the quick energy it needs from the carbohydrates in the veggies.
As for fats and proteins, the best source is from things that grow in freshwater. Cold blooded animals need and store different amino acids than warm blooded animals and therefore things such as insect larvae, aquatic crustaceans and freshwater fish will offer your goldfish the best balance of fats, proteins and amino acids. Beef, chicken and pork should all be avoided if possible in favor of the more digestible and better balanced sources of proteins.
For marine fish use marine animal sources of protein for a shift in the balance of amino acids.

Anything you have in the kitchen is good for your gold fish. Since goldfish have no stomachs they need to be fed a well balanced diet. 25% fat is way too much for a gold fish. This does not break down in their intestines. You need to keep it at less than 10 at all times and high proteins and carbs.
Peas, celery, watermellon, oranges, noodles (not too many though) escreol, endive, lettuce, pumpkin, squashes, cukes, just about any veggie or leafy green, and most all fruits.
These items are great for your fish.

Blanched, leafy green vegetables are good for the digestive tract. The best though, is simply thawing a few frozen peas, removing the skins and giving them to the goldfish. Since they don't have stomachs, goldfish are susceptible to constipation and swim bladder problems. The peas act as a natural laxative. Especially with fancy goldfish, it's recommended you give each fish a couple of peas a couple of times a week in lieu of their flakes or pellets.
