It may have been droped by someone or could have been brought in as fill from another location.

It must have fallen from someones vehicle. You are too far from the CoPar factory that mines pumice for abrasives. Here is a website. See if you are close to one of their distributors.

could it be a metiorite? i found one when I was young, didn't keep it long though
