It only does this at 60 mph before and after are relatively smooth. Also it does pull a little bit on bumps... I like this car and would love to fix it but dont want to spend alot to fix.. I have had the wheels recently balanced.. I was told the tie rod ends or the entire tie rod system how ever that works.. any advice would help. Thanks

Listen to Mr. Know. Jack it up and feel if it is loose. However, if you can't feel play it is not conclusive--but if you do, then you know something is up! You may need ball joints.

definite. The squeal replaced into the sound of your wiped out considerable bearings yelling for OIL!! as quickly as the engine warmed up the oil thinned and you acquire some lubrication. Now you ran it quite low on oil and finally finished killing the main significant Crankshaft bearings. The Knock is likely a Rod Bearing it quite is undesirable from no oil and intense placed on. Your '87 Toyota that replaced into meant to final 'constantly' is lifeless. Throw it away at a salvage backyard after your mechanic confirms my prognosis. grab some funds and purchase a greater moderen automobile! intense pitched squeal over the winter could have been an adjunct concern with a bearing dying interior the alternator or water pump...besides the undeniable fact that it is not proper on account which you killed it now from no upkeep.

if tie rods, look at spending some money.
depending on whether you use aftermarket parts or oem, depends on the amount to repair.

you will also need a front end alignment also if this indeed the problem

normally in the mid hundreds depending on the total amount of parts to be changed.

well you need for sure a nice tow in and a good check at the ball joints but first try to take out your front wheels and replace them with smaller but good temporary ones, if it wobbles you need a tow in and check rods and ball joints , if not you just need to replace the rims and tyres a bit smaller would be better

its not the tie rod. you either:1.)lost a lead weight 2.)need your roters shaved down a notch 3.) wore your tire down to the steel 4.)have a ding in your rim from hitting a curb or something.
hope this helps

Sounds like a tire needs to be speed balanced. Just don't go to Belle Tire for any work needed. They will charge you up the kazoo!

Wobble???
That's not good.

Take it somewhere and get an inspection done while you can still drive it.

ADDED:
Or at least jack the front tires off the ground and see how badly the wobble by hand.
It shouldn't what so ever.

maybe the axles are cracked or something w/ the frame of the car. it could be that before sixty, there is not enough force to make it wobble, and after sixty , there is so much force to stop it. don't really know but that's my best guess.
