I can't see any way at all that his wearing socks or not wearing them defines him as a worthwhile or less than worthwhile person.
I'm a little worried about you, actually. Your priorities when choosing a date seem rather odd.

My boyfriend gets really stinky feet but I love him very much. I just joke with him about it and tell him how smelly they are. We laugh and move on.
The flaws are the best parts. :o)
