Where is a nice place in SC to live?

My husband is in the Navy and may be getting out soon. We would like to move back to SC, but don't really have an idea of where. Somewhere with good schools.

The northwestern corner of SC is very nice and not as congested as the beach areas. Schools seem to be a bit better, as well. The Greenville area is nice, as are any of the smaller towns in that area.

Charleston. Near the ocean. Lots of charm.
