My friend is coming up from Texas this summer and we are going to go to an amusement park. I need help deciding which one to go to. It is between Kings Island, Cedar Point, or Holiday World. I'm going to Kings Island twice this summer, but its the closest to me. If we go to Holiday World we are going to go one day at the amusement park and the next at the water park. I've never gone to Cedar Point, and I think it is the farthest away, but my mom said we could go there if we wanted. I need your opinon on which I should do. I'm going to Kings Island with the school band trip and with my friend's youth group, but I love the rides there and it is so much fun. Please and thank you for helping me decide, if you do.

All three are good parks, but Cedar Point is definitely the better park for coasters.

Millenium Force, Magnum XL200, Raptor, Top Thrill are four of the best steel coasters.

At Holiday World, you have a couple of top 20 wooden coasters, plus it's a very nice family park with free drinks.

At PKI, well, you've got a great half a ride (back half of Beast), I Job, and a few others that are fun, but it's no Cedar Point.

If you want a laid back trip, go to Holiday World.

If you want coasters, get to the point! After all it's america's roller coast!

My recommendation of the parks you should go to are in the following order.

1. Cedar Point
2. Holiday World
.
.
5. King's Island

Cedar Point is an excellent park and has several different types of coaster, most of the them are top notch (Millennium Force, Magnum XL-200, Raptor, Mantis, Gemini, Top Thrill Dragster), a few of them lame (Mean Streak, Iron Dragon). If you go I recommend going on a Sunday. A friend who lives in Colombus and who has close ties to the park say that Sunday is the slowest day of the week. Lines can gets quite long and it is a VERY popular place. You must also get there a half hour before the park opens.

If you do have a second day, I would also recommend Holiday World. The Voyage is FAR better than The Beast or Son of Beast, as is about as long as both of them. No other woodie close to the sheer power and awesomeness of the Voyage. Their other two woodies, The Legend and the Raven are also two of my top ten woodies (I've been on 100). So I would say Holiday World is worth the trip.

I wouldn't plan an extra day for the waterpark. Holiday World is not a very big park. It's much small than Cedar Point. The are the three woodies and several different flat rides. You can easily plan time in the waterpark on the same day you do the rides. The park has free unlimited soft drinks and sunscreen. It's quite a unique park. Not the biggest. But if want to experience some of the best wooden coaster, you have three in one place.

King's Island's steel and wooden coasters are a sad comparison to Cedar Point's and Holiday World's coasters, respectively. I would try to hit both parks if I were you.

I think you should go to the one which is the one you have never been to. If you don't try, you'll never know if you will like it or not! Try it out.
