I'm heartbroken at being torn away from Windows XP. Is Vista compatible with Mozilla Firefox? I won't use Explorer, ever. What horror should I expect with this setup?

I love Firefox. I have it installed on my Windows Vista Home Premium Computer and it works fine( just be sure to get firefox 2.0.0.1 or higher.. To be able to see some sites that aren't compatible with Vista you can set it to run wiuth XP compatibility. Here is how to do it. Once you have Firefox installed on your computer. Click on your windows logo. Click all programs. Then click once on the folder Mozilla firefox . RIGHT CLICK on Mozilla Firefox the program (not the "safe mode" one) Click properties from the menu then click on the Compatibility tab.Check the box under Compatibility mode that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" then select "Windows XP" from the drop down menu. Click Apply Then "Ok" and you now have a program that Runs as if you were running XP. You can't do this with all programs especially the preinstalled Microsoft programs.I hope this helps.

Vista is ok. You'll need to do a little learning and searching. As with most OS's there are some things that you will want to turn off, and others you'll want to tweak. I've been running Vista since it came out and have had no problems.

I have also run Firefox the whole time. Just go to their site and download the latest version.

it particularly is possible to apply the previous cd besides the shown fact that it isn't any longer technically criminal. The cd you have is registered to the laptop you purchased it with and is prohibited to turn on with a clean laptop. in case you do circulate forward and deploy it call in to turn on XP (attempting to realize this on line will purely say it has already been activated, call Microsoft, etc, etc, etc). tell them you laptop has crashed are not getting into lots element different then it crashed and you reinstalled it on an identical laptop. The technician provide you an activation code and your solid. in case you intend on setting up it on different computers it particularly is particularly useful to place in writing down the code, this way there's no complication of calling in.
